1. Process

   Late in Chapter 6 of ELDERNET is a big moment I was quite happy with when I finished drawing it, in which the viewpoint character of the chapter suddenly “wakes up” from the mass collective mask of The Eldernet. I wanted to portray this experience without having to commit to a single “reality” he now experiences, since the way the blended and striated subrealities of The Eldernet works are more complicated, so I instead tried to show the semiotic and symbolic foundations of perception falling apart.
