New comics, new products, new events, the old territory overcoded by the binary system of the cybernetic simulation machine.
The interlude is over, and Chapter Eight of ELDERNET has begun. The title page is up today, and the first page of new story comes out Thursday.
My bugs-and-baking stickers are now available to order wherever you are, whenever you’d like! You can get both The Baking Bugs and their ingredients from my online store. All stickers are printed on high-quality paper (that has yet to wear off in any instance I know of), cut out by the artist himself.
I’ve decided to reduce the frequency at which I make locked posts to just twice a month, instead of every day I make an ELDERNET update, because it doesn’t seem fair (or even reasonable) for more posts to be locked than not. My current plan is to just release single mega-posts on the 1st and 15th of every month, including process sketches, exclusive PSINK installments, expansions to the ELDERNET ARG, and other information. If that sounds interesting, and you’d like to make my work more sustainable, you can sign up here.
This past weekend (the 6th), I had the pleasure of participating in the monthly Show and Sell outside The Packing Plant in Nashville, hosted by the Free Nashville Poetry Library. I’m also appearing at an arts and crafts show in Manchester, TN on the 20th1, 10:00–4:00, and at a certain major comics event here in Nashville I’m not sure I’m actually supposed to reveal I’m in yet on October 4th, 11:00–6:00. If you’re in either town at the right time, I’d love to see you.
One last thing.
I have found a relatively-affordable printing source and will be producing a limited edition of ELDERNET books, collecting chapters one through six, in advance of any kind of crowdfunding campaign. Said books will be available online and at my upcoming convention appearances. Despite my prediction of being able to make a full return on investment, this is still an investment, and not a small one, and for this reason I must remind you that your support of the ELDERNET project is extremely important, whether that means buying an online zine, ordering those adorable stickers, contributing to my Growth and Fun stall, or getting a paid subscription to this Substack. Even “Sharing” this post would be better than nothing.
(“Liking” doesn’t really do much. “Commenting” is better than liking but worse than sharing).
That’s all the news on ELDERNET. Thanks for reading, and enjoy some new card designs in recognition of the new chapter.
On the subject of which I can’t say much else, because it’s a rather small affair and I honestly don’t know much more myself.
