CW: Imagery related to suicide and self-destruction
This one is my least favorite so far, especially panel four. The problem isn’t really “not seeing” like I’m suggesting; it’s trying to see everything through a unified diagnostic gaze.
The guy in the middle is Bryan Molloy, one of the inventors of Prozac.
My comic “Borderline” was originally going to be named “Choke Out,” after the song quoted here (“Your Mind is Not Your Friend,” by The National). I changed the title but kept the reference in the name of the MMORPG the characters play (Sunmind).
This is also my explanation of why I don’t draw myself the way I actually look in these comics, because I want my work to be seen (why I’m posting it in the first place), but for my self to be unseen.
Prompt word: Sun
